Privacy policy

Favuus listens to your voice, types into your apps and, when you ask, looks at your screen. So here is plainly what happens to each piece of data, no fine print. Favuus is provided by Bee2ez.

In short

What Favuus can access

To work, the app uses a few system features. Each one only kicks in because of something you do.

Microphone
Opens when you press the shortcut or the floating button and closes when you press it again or, if you prefer, when you stop talking. In a live conversation it stays open until you say goodbye (“bye, Jarvis”), press the shortcut or stay quiet for a while.
Screen
When a request depends on what’s on screen (“click Send”), Favuus takes a screenshot at that moment and reads the names of the buttons and fields in the window in front, through Windows accessibility features. This is sent to the provider you chose for screen reading and is not kept.
Keyboard, mouse and clipboard
To type where your cursor is, Favuus pastes the text through the clipboard and then puts back what was there. On your request, the assistant also opens websites and apps, presses keys, scrolls and clicks.
Status indicator
While listening, thinking, looking or speaking, an on-screen indicator shows what’s happening.

Where your data goes

On the Free and Pro plans, Favuus uses your own keys. Each task (transcription, correction and commands, read-aloud and screen reading) goes straight to the provider you set up for it, with the context it needs: the assistant’s name, your vocabulary and the tips you taught it.

That data is handled under the provider’s policy and your account agreement with them. Some providers may use data from free tiers to improve their services; worth checking:

What stays on your computer

This data stays on your machine. You can delete it in the app. Uninstalling deletes your settings only if you tick the option to delete the app data; API keys stay in the system vault until you remove them in the app.

API keys
In your operating system’s password vault (Windows Credential Manager), never in plain files.
Settings
Shortcut, languages, correction level, and the assistant’s name, voice and accent.
Vocabulary and memory
Names, terms and tips you taught the assistant. Review and delete them in the Memory tab.
Technical log
A log file to diagnose problems. It doesn’t contain what you dictate, keys or screen images.
Audio sent by shortcut
On the Pro plan, the audio shortcut records your voice to a file in the app’s temporary folder and pastes that file into the open chat. The audio doesn’t go through the AI or Bee2ez, and the file is deleted within an hour.

What Bee2ez receives

We never receive your audio, dictated text, assistant replies or screenshots in readable form. We only receive:

Anonymous usage statistics
Once a day: a random number that identifies the installation (not you or your computer), the app version, operating system, interface language and plan. It only tells us how many installations are in use.
Account, if you sign in
Your email, to send the sign-in code, and a computer identifier (an irreversible fingerprint of the machine id) with the computer’s name, to keep the subscription to one computer.
Pro subscription
Plan, subscription status, monthly or yearly, and renewal date. Payment happens on Stripe: card details stay with them and we can’t see them.
Help messages
Only when you send a bug report or suggestion: the message, app version, operating system, installation number and, if you’re signed in, your email so we can reply.

Phone remote control (Pro, beta)

If you turn this on and pair a phone with the QR code, the phone can send requests to the assistant, by text or voice, and watch the computer screen live.

Requests, voice clips, replies and screen images pass through our server, which only relays them between your devices. They are end-to-end encrypted with a key carried inside the QR code that never reaches us: we can’t read any of it, and nothing is stored.

We only keep each paired phone’s type (e.g. “Android”), when it was paired and when it was last used, so you can see and disconnect phones in the app. While a phone watches the screen, the mic bubble shows a red ring on the computer.

Who helps us

We use a few service providers, only to run Favuus: Stripe (payments and subscriptions), an email delivery service (sign-in codes) and the server that hosts our API and this website. Each receives only what its task needs.

We don’t sell, rent or share your data for advertising.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept while the account exists. When you ask for deletion, we delete the account and its linked computer; payment records stay with Stripe for as long as the law requires. Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes.

Anonymous statistics and help messages are kept while they help improve the product, and you can ask us to delete any linked to your email.

This website

The website uses no tracking cookies or analytics tools. It only stores the language you picked in your browser. The server keeps technical access logs, such as IP addresses, used only for security and troubleshooting.

Cloud plan (coming soon)

With Cloud, AI will be provided by Bee2ez, no keys needed. In that case audio and text will pass through our servers for processing. Before launch, this policy will be updated with full details, and you’ll need to accept it to use the plan.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and Brazil’s LGPD, you can ask for confirmation, access, correction, portability or deletion of the data we hold about you, and withdraw consent. We reply within 15 days. You can also complain to your data protection authority.

For data sent to AI providers, contact each provider directly.

Changes to this policy

We’ll let you know in the app and on this page before any significant change. The date at the top shows the current version.
